Rev. Liptack, (M.Div. Yale) of Blackhammer Lutheran Church discusses his discovery of Augustine’s reasoning for why people understand that the world is round and how, it appears to have been a convenient untruth for “historians” of the last century and a half to represent people of the past as believing that the world was flat.
As one listens to Pastor Liptack, one recalls the words of Thoreau, who wrote: “These same questions that disturb and puzzle and confound us have in their turn occurred to all the wise men; not one has been omitted; and each has answered them, according to his ability, by his words and his life.” Thoreau, “Reading” in Walden.
