Capital Campaign Contribution
Capital Campaign Contributions over $2500 will receive special honors
Support our Capital Campaign to renovate Giants of the Earth—help us bring it into ADA compliance. Donations over $2,500 will receive special honors. Each donation of $2,500 will allow the name of an immigrant from one’s family to be painted in gold leaf on the Immigrants wall in Immigration Hall.

Honor Your Immigrant Ancestors
Do you want to pay tribute to your immigrant ancestors? We will put their names in gold script on the beautiful walls of the Giants of the Earth Immigrant Hall. According to which side of Spring Grove your ancestors lived on, immigrant names are hand-painted on the walls. For example, Ole Nerstad and Kjettle Garnaas lived west of Spring Grove, so their names appear on the west wall.
Giants of the Earth is pleased to offer this special tribute as a thank you to donors who have contributed more than $2,500. A contributor’s immigrant ancestor will be added to Immigrant Hall for every $2,500 donation. Special attention will be paid to donors’ descendants as part of the Giants of the Earth Heritage Center area Bygdebok, detailing the history and genealogy of the Houston, Winneshiek, Fillmore, Allamakee Co. areas.
Choose how you would like to give. Giants will then contact you to learn more about the ancestor that you would like to have honored in Immigrant Hall.

Heritage Center Room Naming Opportunities
The goal of the Room Naming and Honoring Campaign is to raise funds to complete our renovation and restoration projects.
The guidelines of the Naming and Honoring Campaign are as follows:
- Room names are given for a minimum period of 20 years.
- Naming can be in honor of the donor or family member(s) of their choosing.
- All room naming donations also grant the donor a place for an ancestor(s) on the Honored Immigrant Wall.
- Giants can record a complimentary oral history to help tell the family’s story as part of the room display.
- At the end of a minimum of 20 years, the family of the room’s benefactor will be given continued renaming rights if they would like to contribute to planned room changes and its future care.
- Suppose the family would not like to renew the room’s name. In that case, the original name will be put in a place of honor at the Ballard House along with all applicable family history regarding the original name.

Feel free to donate in memory of a beloved ancestor or loved one, such as—”In memory of…, remembering our first Christmas together” or “In honor of Knute…, my great great grandfather, who helped build the first Spring Grove Church.” If you wish to have your money used toward something in particular, such as the capital campaign, the Dan Huebner matching grant for programming, or membership, please indicate so. If you join online, we can immediately post your name on our Online Donors page if you choose, or you can remain anonymous.
