Join us for a listening session about the community newspaper we are trying to start to learn more and give us your thoughts.
What we hope to learn from you:
- What do you hope to see in a local news outlet?
- Where do you currently learn about local events and stories?
- What methods do you use to get news? (Print, websites, social media, email, neighbors & friends)
- What local stories matter to you that regional papers aren’t always able to cover?
- What types of stories are most interesting to you?
- Any other thoughts, ideas, questions you have!
What we envision:
- Focus on our local community and immediate surroundings
- Complement to existing regional publications
- Digital focus with a slim print component
- Partial rollout in advance of Spring Grove Homecoming (June 23–27, 2027)
- Funding based on a mix of grants, donations, sponsorships, memberships, subscriptions, and paid advertising
